Loved all the guests here! The kitchen area gets a bit lively during the weekends which is cool to see and the speakeasy downstairs is a cool experience :) (You also get a free drink for staying here so don’t miss that)

Ok so I wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars because it was such an amazing experience! The price, the location, and the staff are beyond amazing! It was my first time staying at a hostel and Howie at the front desk was so warm and sweet! I didn’t get a chance to go to the speakeasy but heard great things about it! The space was so clean and my bed was so comfy! If I come back to Austin I’m definitely staying here! You really can’t beat it!!!!

Cancellation policy
If canceled up to 24 hours before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If canceled later or in case of no-show, 100 percent of the first night will be charged to the card on file.
Parking
No parking provided. Guests traveling by car can find street parking or use one of the many garages nearby.
Special events
Reservations during SXSW and the month of October require a three-night minimum stay. Payment will be charged to the credit card on file two weeks prior to the event start date. No refunds will be given once payment is taken, including but not limited to cancellation of the event itself. Guests will be reminded via email before their credit card is charged. If payment is declined, the guest will be notified immediately and will have two days to contact the hostel before their reservation is automatically canceled. Reservations will be held for 24 hours after arrival date, if not checked in at that point, the reservation will be canceled without refund; no-shows will be charged a $100 fine.

Directions
From the Airport:
Capitol Metro operates public bus #20 from the lower level of ABIA to downtown for $1.25.
Get off at 8th & Lavaca and the hostel is a four block walk away.
Uber & Lyft are the fastest way to get downtown, prices fluctuate.
Historic Firehouse
The Firehouse Hostel and Lounge are located in the oldest standing fire station in Austin. The original facade of Washington Fire Hall #1 at 605 Brazos was built in 1885. The building was home to a brigade of volunteer firemen through the turn of the 20th century.
